The Bridge Conference connects limited partners with emerging women led technology venture capital funds. The Bridge’s selection committee picked the top 10 women GPs from nearly 200 applicants. Dr. Tara Bishop, Founder and General Partner of Black Opal Ventures, was selected to present by the committee for the Spring 2022 Conference. There, she spoke to a diverse group of innovators and entrepreneurs on problems, potential solution, and the need for innovative change in healthcare.
Less than 6% of US-based VC firms are women-led, despite strong evidence pointing to the fact that female-managed US funds outperform all-male rivals. The Bridge aims to uplift both female entrepreneurs and venture capitalists, with the goal of bridging the gender and diversity gap in the industry.
The Bridge Conference is an invite-only day event that connects limited partners to emerging high-growth women led technology venture capital funds. Black Opal Ventures aims to improve health outcomes for all by investing in companies at the collision of healthcare and technology.
